RIC-Mz Wireline Internal Installation into Quantar

$1,684.00

ACG is pleased to announce the availability of a new package for the RIC-M that is designed to be installed internally in the Quantar or ATAC-3000 (on the Wireline Card). This version of the RIC-M can replace either the Astro Modem or V.24 Card and in addition allows units lacking a V.24 Card to utilize the RIC-M for Digital Operation without a 50-pin ribbon connector to connect the RIC-M to the Wireline Card.

Description

Are you using a Motorola Quantar or ATAC-3000 with an Astro Modem or V.24 Card?  Would you like to interconnect your equipment over Internet Protocol? ACG is pleased to announce the availability of a new package for the RIC-Mz that is designed to be installed internally in the Quantar or ATAC-3000 (on the Wireline Card). This version of the RIC-Mz can replace either the Astro Modem or V.24 Card and  allows units lacking a V.24 Card to utilize the RIC-M for digital operation without a 50 pin ribbon connector to connect the RIC-Mz to the Wireline Card.

The advantages of the new configuration are:

  1. Lower Cost
  2. No external wall power supply (the new RIC-Mz is powered from the Wireline Card)
  3. Fewer cables
  4. No need to find a location to install the external RIC-Mz

The new RIC-Mz retains all of the capabilities of the current RIC-Mz as well as the faster processor (2 times the speed) and security of the latest RIC-Mz.

In essence, installation of the new Wireline RIC-Mz makes the Quantar or ATAC-3000 Internet Protocol capable by replacing the V.24 or copper POTS connection with TIA Standards compliant IP.

Use of the Wireline RIC-Mz in a Quantar

In the case of a Wireline RIC-Mz installation into a Quantar, the existing V.24 board or the Astro Modem card would be removed from the Wireline Card and the Wireline RIC-Mz would be installed on the 50 pin header on the rear of the Wireline Card. Standoffs are supplied to support the Wireline RIC-Mz in addition to the 50 pin header connection.
