ACG Systems Provides Air Traffic Control Tower Equipment Upgrades at St. Cloud Regional Airport (STC)

ACG Systems has successfully upgraded the communications equipment in the Air Traffic Control Tower (ATCT) in Minnesota’s St. Cloud Regional Airport (STC).  The following equipment was included in the upgrade:

  • General Dynamics CM-300 VHF Transmitters
  • General Dynamics CM-300 VHF Receivers
  • VHF Aviation Antennas and ancillary cabling, connectors, etc.
  • General Dynamics URC-300 VHF/UHF Transceiver
  • Frequentis VCS3020x Voice Switch

In addition to provisioning the necessary equipment for the upgrades, ACG Systems Engineering and Professional Services included:

  • Completion of a site survey
  • Staging and programming of General Dynamics Radios at ACG Headquarters in Annapolis, Maryland
  • Removal and replacement of existing antenna infrastructure for VHF environment
  • Removal and replacement of Ground-to-Air radios and integration into new antenna infrastructure
  • Staging and Installation of VCS3020X and integration into new Ground-to-Air radios.
  • Programming of URC-300 VHF/UHF Transceiver for portable, backup radio use
  • Integration of existing NICE recording system with new radios and Voice Switch
  • Basic operator training on the use of the upgraded radio system, including first-line troubleshooting
