ACG Systems Awarded Microwave Upgrade Contract from U.S. Customs and Border Protection

ACG Systems (ACG) has been awarded a $10M+ contract with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) to replace aging and unsupported microwave links critical to Land Mobile Radio (LMR) operations and data backhaul between CBP Sector Headquarters and field agents.

As a part of the comprehensive service, ACG will be responsible for providing:

  • Program Management
  • Planning
  • Scheduling
  • Reporting Structure
  • Reviewing and Validating Existing Links
  • Engineering and Designing the Microwave Network
  • Delivery, Installation, Configuration, and Testing of new Equipment
  • Training and Documentation support for CBP Personnel

The refresh targets 46 links in the Rio Grande Valley and 35 links in El Paso, Texas.  This upgrade will ensure non-proprietary, standards-based, compatible integration with CBP’s existing Motorola ASTRO 25 M3 Core in compliance with P25 protocol.
