ACG Systems Upgrades Southwest Airlines’ San Diego Command Center Technology
ACG Systems has completed a major technology upgrade for Southwest Airlines (SWA), modernizing the airline’s command center at San Diego International Airport (SAN). This project is part of a broader, long-term partnership to help SWA transition its key operational hubs nationwide to advanced communications technology.
The ACG team supplied and installed a 3-channel Motorola MOTOTRBO Digital Linked Capacity Plus (LCP) system at San Diego International Airport (SAN). The new SAN Command Center includes an integrated solution consisting of the MOTOTRBO LCP system with five new Avtec Scout IP-based radio dispatch console positions, including an IP-based Air-to-Ground radio system. As a result, the SAN SWA Command Center Operations Team now has immediate access and patching capabilities to aircraft communications, ATC radio communications, enhanced ground radio communications, intercom functionality, as well as full-featured telephone capabilities. This enhances operational efficiency and safety by significantly improving response time and resource allocation.
As a leading provider of command and control technologies, ACG Systems partners with top technology manufacturers to deliver custom communications solutions. Our upgraded dispatch solutions ensure operational efficiency, safety, and regulatory compliance by integrating advanced voice and data applications for a wide range of industries.
