ACG Secures Contract for Replacement of Ryan Airfield ATCT Communications

ACG Systems has been awarded a project to upgrade the Air Traffic Control Tower (ATCT) Communications Equipment at Ryan Airfield (RYN) in Tucson, Arizona.

ACG will deliver the following products and services to Ryan Airfield:

  • Work with Frequentis to provide and install a new VCS3020X VCCS System, Frequentis’ reliable solution for safety-critical Air/Ground and Ground/Ground communication for single and networked ACCs, approach and tower.
  • Provision and install new General Dynamics CM Series Radios and all necessary antenna/cabling for VHF-AM Communications
  • Provision and install Eventide NexLog 740 DX Voice Recorder, to be integrated with Frequentis VCS and GD radios
  • Work with All Weather Inc. (AWI) to provision and install a backup Automated Weather Observing System (AWOS) at the airfield to ensure that real-time information on airport weather conditions is always available.
  • Provision two (2) new Air Traffic Control Light Guns
  • Perform testing and training on the system
