ACG Systems has completed the Command Center upgrade for Southwest Airlines (SWA) at Baltimore-Washington International Airport (BWI). ACG provided new Motorola SLR repeaters, Jotron Air/ground radios, and related radio devices, staged and integrated the technologies with five (5) new Avtec Scout IP-based console systems. As one of the largest airline operations in the country, the integrated system enables the Command Center Operations immediate access and patching capabilities to aircraft and ATC radio communication, ground radio communications, the airport PA system, intercom, a lightning detection system, as well as full-featured telephone capabilities. The scope of work included all the necessary project management, System Engineering, and on-site technical labor to migrate the operation to a state-of-the-art, fully IP communication suite of products.
