ACG Systems Partners with ICOM and Etherstack to upgrade the Bureau of Reclamation’s Radio Communications System

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: March 31, 2015
ACG Systems (ACG), in conjunction with Icom America and Etherstack, will upgrade the Bureau of Reclamation’s (BOR) radio system to a six site composite trunking system, expanding radio communications over a 600 mile radius in the southwest United States.
With a mission to manage, develop and protect the nation’s water and power systems, the BOR requires critical and reliable radio communications for their water resource operations. ACG offered the BOR a Very High Frequency (VHF) radio upgrade program to provide secure voice communications with ongoing service and technical support.
With ACG at the helm of installation and configuration, the comprehensive technical solution is comprised of Icom repeaters, portable and mobile radios with rugged accessories, and Etherstack controllers. The project will include high quality, 100 percent compliant radio handsets, repeaters, mobiles and a combination of accessories manufactured by Icom to meet the BOR radio requirements. As part of their standard suite of service offerings, ACG will provide asset tracking and equipment management throughout the life of the IDIQ.
“We’re delighted to partner with Icom and Etherstack to support BOR in their strategic conservation efforts. By blending technology and integration services, our proven partnership approach ensures the best possible products and services for our customer,” said Tim Carney, Vice President at ACG.
